A Comparative Study of the Meanings and Instances of Safaahat from the Perspective of Allameh Tabataba’i and Allameh Zamakhshari

The Almighty God created humans, made them the noblest of all creatures, and bestowed upon blessing intellect. However, sometimes human beings do not take advantage this gift waste it by engaging in foolish acts such as drinking alcohol, showing disdain for religion, like. In some verses Quran, terms ‘safih’ ‘safaahat’ are mentioned, mufassirs have expressed their opinions on meanings instances. present study, conducted using textual analysis library research methods, examines instances two from perspectives Allameh Tabataba’i Zamakhshari to discuss similarities differences mufassirs’ views. results study indicate that both believe safaahat means foolishness, ignorance, lack wisdom, sleepiness, lightness, degree foolishness. considers those who consume wealth properly safihs. Regarding safaahat, mentions three safihs, including Jews little understanding, hypocrites, polytheists. has comprehensively addressed several listed other safihs addition polytheists, nation religion Abraham, murderers children, orphans, drunkards, trusted, children before reaching age maturity, lustful women. implications could be useful understanding Quranic concepts foolishness well which they mentioned. also provide insights into interpretations Islamic scholars these relevance contemporary society.
